FI-IMPACT took the opportunity provided by ECFI2 on 17 - 18 September in Munich to actively engage with the Accelerators funding FIWARE Calls under Phase 3 of FI-PPP and Phase 2 projects to learn more about their ongoing activities and discuss future cooperation.
On 18 September, FI-IMPACT in cooperation with FI-Business provided a two-hour interactive workshop focused on supporting SMEs in the context of FIWARE Calls.
Following an introduction to FI-Business, Anastasios Stilianidis outlined the use of an Innovation Handbook to identify key characteristics of a business idea, around which a FIWARE based application can be implemented. Workshop participant were invited to spend 10 – 15 minutes going through the exercise in small groups.
Following a short Q&A, Richard Stevens from FI-IMPACT provided a brief introduction to the work to be carried out on Programme Level Impact Assessment for the European Commission. He also presented some initial potential Key Performance Indicators as well as market mapping of existing market opportunities to FIWARE Areas and asked participants for feedback.
This interactive workshop was well received with over 20 participants including SMEs from Belgium, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Slovenia, Spain and Turkey.
Following the workshop several SMEs followed with IIMC by email to learn more about FIWARE and FI-PPP Phase 3 Calls.
